Marc C. Jean

Marc Jean is an experienced emergency management and public health preparedness professional. He currently works as the Assistant Director for the Department of Emergency Management at Florida International University in Miami, Florida. In his role, he is responsible for establishing the university’s emergency management accreditation, strategic planning of the department, and maintaining the university-wide emergency management program through planning, training, and exercising.

Marc grew up in Florida where he obtained a Master of Public Health degree in public health management and policy and a Bachelor of Science degree in family, youth, and community sciences from the University of Florida. He is Certified in Public Health and a Certified Emergency Manager. Marc is also a founding fellow of the William Averette Anderson Fund.
