Danny Cardeso
Danny Cardeso began his career in the fire-service in 1993. He currently serves as the Deputy Fire Chief over Operations for Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. He holds a Master’s degree in Executive Management, a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational leadership, Associate’s degrees in Fire Science and Emergency Medical Services, and numerous professional certifications. Professor Cardeso has extensive experience, and technical and formal training in the fields of fire and emergency operations, emergency medical services, leadership, and disaster management. He has responded to many local incidents and disasters over his career and was one of the incident commanders at the Surfside, FL building collapse in 2021 and a Senior Advisor to the command team at the month-long Covanta Waste to Energy Plant fire in 2023.
